Our Story
Elizabeth and Caleb: Siblings with a common goal
Growing up in the forests of Klamath Falls, Oregon in a log cabin with six siblings, we learned from the land and its creatures. Our family often gathered the community on that land, creating spaces of joy and connection in a natural setting that left a lasting impression on everyone who came.
Elizabeth's passion for sustainability was sparked early — through travels to Saudi Arabia, Germany, and Thailand, all before graduating high school. When she began studying Sustainability at Southern Oregon University, she recognized the power of events and spaces that invite dialogue, art, and honest conversation around difficult topics like environmental degradation and human rights.
She founded the Sustainability Collective, a weekly gathering that brought local organizations and the broader public into conversation with the university — bridging gaps and crafting solutions to local problems together. The Collective launched a weekly potluck that fed houseless community members and developed extensive plans for a Community Commons and Resilience Hub, which remains in active development. Elizabeth was also part of the team that helped secure a $10 million grant for developing Resilience Hubs across Oregon, and she continues to work in grant development for sustainability projects statewide.
Caleb, a father of four, brings a deeply personal understanding of why it matters to sustain our resources for future generations. Through his work as a solar installer and sales representative, he has seen firsthand both the financial benefits and the urgent necessity of transforming our energy infrastructure to meet the needs of a growing population. His involvement with Waldorf schools in Germany and the United States has fueled a strong commitment to holistic, arts-integrated, and nature-based education — and he has developed a model for a charter Waldorf school in Klamath Falls, with the goal of making alternative education accessible to all.
With deep roots in Klamath Falls and a shared passion for sustainable food systems, climate justice, ecological restoration, and human and animal rights — Elizabeth and Caleb are honored to offer their expertise in service of a more beautiful and resilient future.
